‘PEACE HERALD’ – by Andrew Logan 2019 Peace Herald is a statement necklace that can also be worn as both a necklace and brooch, or adorn you home as and artwork. The body of this piece is covered with cream, brown & burgundy shell discs, white curve glass fragments, small shells, fresh water pearls and mirror discs and fragments. The mane is created from white shell and the tail is made of pale multicolour shell fragments. The wing of ‘Peace Herald’ is composed of a white glass convex disc combined with an appliqué with pearlescent beads and transparent tube beads. All of this is set within a body of white resin and finished with a mix of light multicolour glitter. The wing of this was created from a previous piece called ‘Octopus October’ (2012). This piece is completed with a pearlescent beaded necklace.
